Positions Currently Available

IP Analyst

Job Function:
Provide a full spectrum of in-house analysis services including intellectual property analysis, patent portfolio management, product and process investigation, licensing, market analysis, litigation support, and testifying expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Patent claim analysis, technology investigation, parts procurement, and documentation services.
2. Provide timely support to both offensive and defensive clients, addressing their requirements.
3. Generate reports, which include detailed analyses performed in support of the client requests. Formats include a mix of reports such as verbal reports including patent claim comparison charts. All of these formats are generated in-house, including claim charts, demonstratives, and other court exhibits.
4. Maintain close contact with scholastic and public libraries as a source of information as required.
5. Represent findings in court and depositions as appropriate.
6. Manage any external consultants on projects as required and through CCI consulting services agreements and project addendum’s.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. At least five (5) years of experience in at least one of the technology, management, or science fields.
2. Related experience in patent research and intellectual property analysis.
3. Knowledge of computers, computer peripherals, consumer electronics and industrial process equipment, including mechanical, circuit, software, and firmware components.
4. Knowledge of software languages such as Assembly, Basic, C, C++, and Pascal.
5. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply logical thought processes to a problem.

Formal Educational Requirements:
Minimum of B. S. degree in at least one of the technology, management, or science fields.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:
1. Expertise in circuit and systems technologies with respect to analog, digital logic, software, semiconductors, microprocessors, DSPs, volatile and non-volatile memories, and discrete electronics.
2. Credentials such as granted patents, advanced degrees, industry recognition, awards, and publications.
3. Excellent communication skills.


Technical Analyst


Job Function:
Provide a full spectrum of in-house technical services including intellectual property analysis, patent portfolio management, product and process investigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Circuit reversal and analysis, semiconductor product deprocessing, parts procurement, and documentation services.
2. Provide timely support to both offensive and defensive clients, addressing their requirements.
3. Generate reports, which include technical work performed in support of the client requests. Formats include a mix of detailed technical reports, verbal reports, physical or computer-generated models and simulations. All of these formats are generated in-house, including claim charts, demonstratives, and other court exhibits.
4. Perform analysis based on schematics and hardware description language files.
5. Maintain close contact with scholastic and public libraries as a source of information as required.
6. Utilize the photo studio, chemical lab, microscopy lab, machine shop, electronics lab, software lab, and mechanical CAD as required.
7. Manage any external consultants on projects as required and through CCI consulting services agreements and project addendum’s.
